Modern Heirloom Collage Painting

Artist Sarah Mangalapalli will work alongside you as you create your very own mixed media painting! We will be creating modern abstract works in the theme of traditional quilt patterns.
· Get inspired! Learn about abstraction and color stories. Choose a color story that represents the mood or image you wish to represent.
· Mix colors and paint a background for your painting; practice blending and mark-making.
· Learn about movement and composition; prepare collage pieces and compose a foreground image.
· Adhere collage pieces.
· Paint final adjustments and signature marks.
· Gallery walk! Share your work and your choices, admire the work of your new art-friends with a completed 11×14 mixed media painting, ready to frame and display!
